Given the current "stay at home" order in effect for Maryland, the status of the 2020 PMSL swim season is unknown.
Should recreational facilities be allowed to open as usual for the summer season, the league will run a normal season. If pools open late, the league has proposed three options for a shortened season, depending upon when pools open. Unfortunately, there is also the possibility that the season could be canceled.
We are optimistic that the league will run this season. As many of the pre-season training seminars for meet officials cannot be held in person, the league is hosting training sessions via video conferences, with testing done online. If you are are currently certified as a PMSL official (stroke/turn, referee/starter), check the PMSL website to see if when your certification expires. If you need to renew, or if you would like to become an official (we need you!), contact us and we will let you know when the training sessions come available. We will also send the information to our mailing list.
