It's official...
The NCR Dolphins are the Undefeated Champions of the 2023 PMSL's Division F! And boy, did they do it in style, racking up a whopping 402 points! NCR 402 TH: 326 BNS: 174 OH: 127 FC: 45 Not only did the team cap off the season in an impressive manner, most of our swimmers bested their seed times...and not by a little...1, 2, 3, 5 and even 9 seconds! The Dolphins came to swim and swim hard they did! The Divisional Meet brings the best of the best (sir!) from the season together and so the competition is fierce. Several events were won or lost by less than a tenth of a second! Even with that, two NCR Dolphin swimmers walked away with Triple Blue: Sophia Jones and Patrick Willis Complete meet results are available on our 2023 Results page. Winning an event at the Divisional Meet comes with another reward: automatic entry into the PMSL All-Star Meet. All I have left to say is...WOW! ...well, one more thing...The above list may grow, as once the Division winners are seated, the League fills out the All-Star meet with swimmers based on event times...and we have a few second place swimmers that might get the nod...stay tuned! With the regular dual meet season at a close, we have one more big Division F event...the Divisional Meet! Rules for the entries to the Divisional meet are special, so unfortunately not all of our Dolphins will be able to represent the team. There are 35 swimmers who will.. The names and events they are entered can be found on our 2023 Divisional Swimmers page
Congratulate and encourage these swimmers! If they win at the Divisional Meet they qualify for the PMSL All-Star Meet! Let's Go NCR! Your NCR Dolphins are undefeated! We traveled south to visit the Bannister Barracudas for our final dual meet of the 2023 season and came away with our fifth win!
NCR: 297 BNS: 169 Complete results are available on our 2023 Meet Results page. 3 Blue times 6 = a great meet! There were 6 Triple Blue swimmers at the meet (won all three individual events) Emma Biondi, NCR Bella Willis, NCR Madison Pearson, BNS Arianna Biondi, NCR Patrick Willis, NCR Timothy Brown, BNS Next up, the 2023 Division F Divisional Meet. Stay tuned here to see the swimmers who qualified to represent the Dolphins at this penultimate meet of the season! Today the NCR Dolphins were scheduled to swim against the Oxon Hill Hammerheads in Fort Washington, however, the Oxon Hill Recreation Club pool pump has been finicky this season, so the Hammerheads asked if the meet could be held at the New Carrollton Recreation pool. The Dolphins agreed to host. Who wouldn't want a meet at NCR!
The Dolphins notched their fourth win of the season, beating the Hammerheads by a score of 341 to 90. Complete results are available on the website under the 2023 results page. This week's "Triple Blue" winners (won all three individual events): Sofia Jones (NCR) Sydney Chase (NCR) Arianna Biondi (NCR) Emma Biondi (NCR) Kweli Able (OH) Morris Fisher (NCR) Patrick Willis (NCR) Isaiah Willis (NCR) The fun isn't over, though! More swimming tonight with the Marathon! The first away meet of the 2023 season was a whopping 3/4 of a mile drive to meet the newest team in the PrinceMont League - the Fountain Club Swim Team. Our new neighbors were gracious hosts and we enjoyed the friendly competition during a well run meet. The score was a bit lopsided, but that can be attributed to the fact that as a new team, the Fountain Club only had a few swimmers. If the enthusiasm displayed by their team and their community are an indication, they won't be small for long! The final score of the meet was: NCR: 343 FC: 37 Detailed results are available on the 2023 Meet Results page The Triple Blue Affair
Six NCR swimmers racked up 3 individual event wins: Sofia Jones Arianna Biondi Sydney Chase Patrick Willis Ethan Lam-Ewen Morris Fisher Congratulations on another win for the NCR Dolphins! Weather threatened to be a problem for the swim meet this past Saturday, but let up in time for NCR to add another to the win column! The weather did keep us from setting up the bulkhead, so we swam "old school". However, that wasn't a problem for our NCR Dolphins, who pulled off a 300 to 180 victory over the visiting Temple Hills Dolphins.
The full results are also available on the 2023 Results page. Unlike last week, no records were broken, but we still had a few Triple Blue winners: Sophia Jones (NCR) Isaiah Willis (NCR) Patrick Willis (NCR) Congratulations to our NCR Dolphins on another spectacular win! Our NCR Dolphins kick off the 2023 season with a cross-division win!

A sweltering day Charles County saw the six teams in the PMSL Division E compete for all the marbles. At the end of the day, our NCR Dolphins took 5th, edging out the Pointer Ridge Porpoises. Technically, we tied in the division standings because of our loss to Pointer Ridge at our dual meet earlier this season...but we won't dwell on that.... The final team scores are:
The individual event results are posted on our Meet Results page Records were broken! The relatively new home pool for our host team, the Indian Head Torpedos, saw 42 of 49 events set records. Five of those were set by NCR swimmers!
Saum-Hilton Award Winners! This award is presented annually to one team in each Division. It is named in honor of George Saum (Adelphi) and Brad Hilton (Greenbelt), who both contributed much to the success of the Prince - Mont Swim League. It is awarded to the team that improved the most relative to its initial seeding, but did not win the Division. This year, after a lot of post-meet discussion, it was decreed that the NCR Dolphins are the winners of the 2022 Division E Saum-Hilton Award. Congratulations to the team. The award, a nice trophy, will be up at the pool for all to see. Next up...All Stars! The final event for the 2022 PMSL summer swim season is the League All Star Meet - this year to be held at our very own New Carrollton Recreation pool! In addition to the honor of hosting this meet, we get to root for several NCR Dolphin swimmers who earned a slot at the meet by virtue of winning their event at our Divisional Championship. Heading to All Stars for the Dolphins are:
The entries for the Divisional Meet next week are ready! See the link below for who will be representing the NCR Dolphins!
2022 Divisional Entries Today marks the end of the regular PMSL season. Hard to believe we've already completed five meets! Next week is the divisional meet and the following week NCR will be hosting the league All-Stars meet. More on that later...for now, back to today's event. Our NCR Dolphins hosted the Accokeek Gators today. Though we competed well - and scored the most points all season, AST had the advantage, winning the meet: AST: 294 NCR: 256 The full results are posted on the Meet Results page. Three really is the charmTime to recognize the triple blue winners of the meet:
...wait, there's more! While our regular dual meet season has come to an end, next week we have our Divisional Meet. The Divisional Meet is different than a typical dual meet, in that all of the teams in the Division compete together. The entry rules are different, as each team is allowed only two swimmers per individual event and a single entry per relay event. Coach Huey will have to make some tough decisions as he puts together the lineup. Unfortunately, not every swimmer will be able represent the team at the Divisional meet. The entries are due by tomorrow night, so you won't have to wait long to know. Whether you (or your swimmer) gets a slot, everyone is encouraged to participate in our Pep Rally event next Friday. Come out and support your NCR Dolphins!
