Data: What and How… We collect an awful lot of data during the course of the year on each swimmer who participates in Time Trials or in regular Dual Meets, or the Divisional Championship Meet or All Stars. This data is then given to the coaches for further study, and optimization of a particular swimmer. Results from meets are posted here and on the Team Bulletin Board (near the Diving well) and are also forwarded to Prince-Mont league for tabulation. These statistics are also used to formulate rankings within the division or within the entire league. Divisional results are used to seed the All Star meet.
The NCR Dolphins also post their records both on the team website and on the Bulletin Board. We arrange them as follows: NC Pool Records (any individual swimming in our pool during a dual or divisional meet); NCR Team Home Records (Only NCR Swimmers qualify); NCR Away Meet Records in both meters and yards (again, only NCR swimmers. We generally swim in meter pools. Yard pools are very few, but include most indoor pools, and a few outdoor pools). With the introduction of the bulkhead (which allows the pool to host official 25 m meets) in the 2017 season, we now separate our pool (and home team) records by with and without the bulkhead.
These records are updated frequently during the season, and you should stop by here regularly or view the bulletin board often during the season to see any changes.
The Data Manager is responsible for all data for the team, and is extraordinarily time consuming. If you can help in this regard, please contact one of the Executive Board members.
