The weather proved no challenge, as we were able to power through and host a successful swim meet against the Indian Head Torpedos. The Torpedos, on the other hand, were a challenge. After the freestyle events our Dolphins were trailing by 11 points, but that deficit grew to 46 by the end of the meet. This week NCR traveled to Pointer Ridge Swim Club to swim against the Porpoises. Despite the absence of a number of our swimmers due to illness or family obligations, our Dolphins came to compete, and compete they did! It was a back and forth battle all morning, but in the end the Porpoises edged the Dolphins by eight points. Final score: NCR: 244 PR: 252 No, you're not seeing double...NCR's score matched the score from the week before! The results are posted under the Meet Results page Despite the loss, many of our swimmers had their best swim of the season, and the DQ count was significantly lower this week. Another beautiful day for a swim meet. Another achingly close loss for the Dolphins. Our swimmers came up shy 29 points this week against the PGC Aqua Knights. The 2022 swim season started off with a close meet. A REALLY close meet. Much of the meet NCR trailed by less than 15 points. Going into the final relays, NCR was on top, but only just barely. In the end the visiting Fort Washington Sharks edged out our NCR Dolphins by one point. One. Yes, it was that close! Final Score: FW: 239 NCR: 238 Congrats to the Sharks for grabbing the win, but also to all the swimmers for their efforts in the pool on this blustery Saturday. For the second meet of the season, our NCR Dolphins once again headed south...this time to Accokeek. Our swimmers swam hard, but came up short again losing to Accokeek by the score of 278 to 202.

We traveled south to contend against the Indian Head Swim Team, and while we fell to our hosts by the score of 247 to 216, it was a close meet.

Yesterday's PMSL All Star Meet brought to a close competitive swimming for the 2019 season. By all accounts, NCR shined as hosts of the meet! Congratulations and a huge Thank You! to all who helped make the event such a success.
